DECI is excited to bring back First Fridays Downtown! An event that had been going on years ago and fell away during the pandemic. Running along side Food Truck Fridays, this event aims to engage the community and showcase all that downtown has to offer. This program encourages businesses within any BID boundaries (Water St, Grand Ave, N. Barstow and S. Barstow) to consider extending hours, offer a unique sale or special, program an event, and sell items on sidewalk outside your storefront! The window for participation is from 10am - 8pm (you do not need to be open or participate in the enire time slot). DECI has attained a sidewalk encroachment for all BID boundaries to allow for displays, tables, etc. for this purpose. In addition to sidewalk vending, DECI will also be hosting street buskers (music street performers) to play from late afternoon into the evening in effort to create a vibrant and lively experience downtown encouraging patrons to plan their evening in our downtown. If you’d like your business to partake in a First Friday, you have to sign a waiver and be sure to maintain safe area around your items, making sure people can safely navigate the sidewalk as well as set-up and take-down all items you’ve brought out.  When you register, we ask that you inlcude any events/specials you’ll be doing so that we can help market then and get the word out!
